We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. 1 Thes. 2:8

As much as we love sharing the story of Sixty Feet with friends and supporters here in the States, in many ways our hearts are in Uganda with the children and our local team.  So we’re thankful that another team was able to leave this afternoon and will arrive in Kampala tomorrow evening.  They will be in Uganda for one week and have a lot on their plate.  Dan is leading this trip and is joined by Curt, one of our pastors, and Christian, a dear friend and supporter.

Please pray for them, their families, and the work they will be doing.  Many of our local team members (seven in total now) need encouragement as the struggles on the ground have intensified and the work has grown rapidly.  We pray that the team will bring words of encouragement from all of us here in the States to our brothers and sisters who daily carry out the mission of Sixty Feet.

Each trip is special.  Without exception, God uniquely fulfills His purposes both in the children and in the team members themselves.  So please pray for salvation in the lives of the children and for revival in the hearts of our team members.  In a beautiful way, everyone is ministered to.  And as the team is strengthened through their service, they in turn bless us when they return.

Finally, please pray for a sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  At the end of the day, we want to see God’s glory manifested and watch Him move in powerful ways.  That’s hard to do if you’re trying to stick to your agenda.  So we pray that the team awakes every morning knowing that they are vessels for His purposes and open to His prompting.  Knowing these guys, that won’t be an issue!

Thank you for your prayers and please check back during the week for updates on the trip.
