Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isa. 40:30-31
Lately our team in Uganda has suffered some serious spiritual attacks. We figure something must be going right if the enemy actually cares about what SixtyFeet is doing. Nonetheless, the attacks can be discouraging. In the midst of these struggles, we received the following email from one of the team members.* We pray it encourages you as much as it encouraged us!
Surely, when the foundations are being shaken, what can the righteous do? Psalms 11:3; Isaiah 54:14-15. In righteouness you will be established, tyranny will be far from you, you will have nothing to fear, terror will be far removed, it will not come near you. If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing, whoever attacks you will surrender to you.
That impact got me thinking hard about my life as a believer, then about SixtyFeet as a ministry. I asked myself a few questions. What am I established on? What is SixtyFeet established on? Are we co-workers with Christ living the Christian talk? Do we let God lead SixtyFeet or are we doing it ourselves? What is God’s plan in all this?
Then the lord graciously gave me Isaiah 62:6-7. He has posted watchmen on our walls and we who call on the name of the lord shoud NOT GIVE GOD AND OURSELVES REST UNTIL HE ESTABLISHES US. WE MUST SOAR ON WINGS LIKE EAGLES BECAUSE THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH, REFUGE AND ALL WHO CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.
I have resolved to first remove the log out of my eyes so I can see clearly to remove the piece of stick out of another’s eye. God hates sin and I therefore need to be established in righteouness, tyranny will then definitely flee.
